Thrilling deal clouds again, the British Daily Mail disclosed that a mysterious Qatari consortium is rubbing its fists with the intention of launching a takeover offensive on Manchester United in a few days, which is confident of defeating strong rivals, including Britain's richest man Ratcliffe, and is expected to become the new head of Manchester United in one fell swoop at a price of 6 billion pounds, making the Red Devils the most expensive club in the transfer market.

The Qatari consortium, which is reportedly well-funded and possesses financial power comparable to that of a country, is actively seeking to acquire one of the world's top soccer clubs, and Manchester United is their target. And all this action will be unveiled in the next few days.

The Glasha family, the United chairman, had already publicly stated in November last year that they would accept offers from all sides and planned to finalize the deal before the mid-February deadline. Therefore, the Qatari consortium will have to throw in the towel in no time.

While Ratcliffe, the richest man in Britain, has confirmed his intention to buy United, his bid is said to be just £4 billion, a far cry from the £6 billion demanded by the Glasha family. The Middle East money has always been generous, the Qatar consortium is likely to accept the conditions of the Glasha family, once the deal is done, Manchester United will be the highest transfer fee in the club's history record.

Looking back over the past decade or so, Qatar's commitment to soccer has been clear for all to see, and after acquiring Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in 2011, it has invested heavily every year to bring in top stars such as Nima, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi. With Qatar successfully hosting the World Cup final week this year and now targeting Manchester United in the Premier League, it all seems to make sense.

However, as the Qatar Sports Investment Fund already owns PSG, in order to avoid a conflict of interest and possible violation of UEFA's rules when meeting United in European competitions in the future, this time the Qatari side chose to intervene in the takeover battle of Manchester United with private funds.
