Chelsea FC has recently purchased players at high prices and then borrowed Inter Milan star Lukaku at low prices, with the intention of proposing a loan renewal program to Chelsea. Recently, the two sides launched negotiations, and the Inter side even offered to halve the loan fee.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lukaku has recently returned from injury and has played four consecutive matches for Inter, including a substitute appearance in the Milan Derby to help Inter beat AC Milan, and the coach's trust in "Lukas" remains intact.

Inter borrowed Lukaku from Chelsea this season for a loan fee of 8 million euros plus bonuses. With this loan extension, Inter expect Chelsea to reduce the price to 4 million euros and have sent a representative to London to communicate with Chelsea to detail Lukaku's performance.

Despite the low loan fee, Lukaku's susceptibility to injury has been a major problem, and his performance at Inter has suffered this season, only recently making a comeback. Inter and Lukaku's agent have reached a tacit agreement on the future, and had an in-depth discussion after the UEFA Europa League match against Porto, while Inter also hope to communicate with Chelsea as soon as possible to determine Lukaku's stay.
