On Monday, Premier League rivals Leeds United made a big announcement as they officially sacked their American-born leader Marsh, a decision that has caused an uproar in soccer circles. Despite rumors swirling about West Bromwich Albion boss David Copeland taking over, it appears that the former Manchester United assistant coach, Iwamas, will be appointed as interim leader just as Leeds United are set to face their Premier League showdown with Manchester United, which certainly gives him a chance to turn the tables on the club.

In recent league matches, Leeds United have been disappointing as they have not won in 7 consecutive league matches (3 draws and 4 losses), and are only on the edge of the relegation zone by goal difference, with the risk of relegation hanging high. For this reason, Leeds United had to make a decision about Marsh and his coaching team, however, the new American assistant coach Iwamas was unexpectedly not mentioned, but it is widely expected that he will be in charge of the coaching staff for the time being.

The 50-year-old Iwamas, who was invited to work as an assistant coach at Manchester United last season, is one of the "Red Bull" coaches with Marsh and has inherited his style of soccer philosophy. It is reported that Leeds United is actively looking for a new manager, West Bromwich Albion's Gerberen and Celtic's Australian manager Pusztigulo are both considered as strong candidates.
