Once upon a time, Welsh soccer great Gareth Barrie said goodbye to football and moved on to the green world off the green. Not long ago, he officially embarked on a new career in golf, playing in the highly anticipated AT&T Pebble Beach Pro/Am. With golf clubs in hand, the former course dominator lived up to the hype and tied for 9th place with his teammates on Day 2 of the tournament.

Barrie was paired with professional Joseph Bramlett for the event and the duo finished in 18th place with an impressive 7-under-par score on the first day. On the second day of the tournament, Barrie and Bramlett played well again, improving their total to 13-under-par with a 6-under-par score, and jumping up to a tie for 9th place, eight strokes behind the top of the leaderboard, but their performance is still eye-catching.
