In the early hours of the morning, the land of Saudi Arabia witnessed a fierce battle in the final of the Western Super Cup. Barcelona claimed their 14th trophy with a 3-1 victory over Real Madrid thanks to a goal each from youngsters Gavi and Birdie and a goal from Robert Lewandowski. Not only did it mark the first title for new coach Xavi since he took over, but it also earned the team a whopping 4 million euros in prize money, a feat of fame and fortune!

Barcelona's victory went surprisingly well as they controlled the tempo of the game and opened the scoring in the 33rd minute when youngster Gavi finished off a pass from Robert Lewandowski. Before half time, Gavi again showed his ability to help Robert Lewandowski extend the lead to 2-0, and in the second half, Barcelona continued to attack, with Bardi adding a second in the 69th minute to make the score 3-0, and despite a goal from Real Madrid's Binschmann in stoppage time, Barcelona took the trophy with a score of 3-1.

This is Xavi's first title for the team since November 2021 when he took over as Barcelona manager. After the match, Xavi said: "Barcelona needed this title more than Real Madrid, I'm proud of the players, they worked very hard and this title is what they deserve. Compared to the trophy itself, I value the process of winning the title, I saw the desire of every player for the title, and I hope this win will be a turning point in our transformation."
