Italian soccer legend, Vieri, sadly passed away last week from pancreatic cancer. His hometown of Cremona hosted a grand memorial service on Monday (9), with many former teammates turning out to say their final farewells to the valiant comrade.

The memorial service was held in a church in Cremona, where former Juventus and Italian national teammates such as Lavinari, Ferrara, Bisotto, Tequenardi, Berlusca and Felli were present. Outside the church, there was a huge crowd of fans gathered to honor the memory of the great striker.

Vieri, who played for and coached Chelsea, had been living in London, England in recent years. His funeral will also be held in London this week.
