Since Cron's move to Saudi Ainas, registration and suspension issues have delayed him from suiting up. Recently, Ainas head coach Rudy Garcia announced that Cron will make his comeback debut in the early hours of Jan. 20 for the Riyadh All-Stars against Paris Saint-Germain, who are led by Mays.
Cron's road to his Saudi Arabia debut has been quite a bumpy one. He had received a two-game worldwide suspension for harassing a young fan by phone in April, followed by a period when Cron was unable to register due to Ainas' full foreign aid quota. But now those issues have been resolved, and despite the suspension being enforced as usual, Aynas deregistered foreign aid man Abubakar, allowing Cron to complete the registration process and make his debut in the early morning showdown on January 20th.
According to Saudi media reports, there will be an exhibition match between the Riyadh All-Stars and Paris Saint-Germain in the early hours of January 20th. The clash of the century has generated so much attention that King Fahd Stadium, which holds only 68,000 people, sold out instantly, with as many as 1.6 million fans waiting to buy tickets online.
After completing the exhibition match, Cron's suspension will also come to an end and he will make his debut in the upcoming Saudi League match, with the first match against Ittifaq in the early hours of January 23rd.
