The National Football League has officially re-announced that France's marquee coach, Diegans, will extend his contract until June 2026, meaning that the 54-year-old coach will continue to be at the helm of the French team for the upcoming UEFA Europa League and the next World Cup. The news has undoubtedly dampened the ambitions of former Real Madrid coach Stann, who was eager to coach the French team.

Digance has been in charge of France since July 2012, leading the team to 139 matches with 89 wins, 28 draws and 22 losses, scoring 279 goals and conceding 119 goals. During this time, France managed to reach the 2016 UEFA Europa League final and win the 2018 World Cup and 2021 UEFA Europa League.

In this year's World Cup, France once again advanced to the final, but failed to defend their title due to a penalty shootout loss to Argentina. Nevertheless, the performance of Digance in coaching was still recognized by the French Football Federation, so he was able to extend his contract.

As for Schiedam, who was expected to replace Deegans, according to sources, he has not given up his desire to become the head coach of the French team. It is reported that Shi Dan has rejected the invitation of the U.S. national team, and he is waiting for the French team to have a vacancy, and then come back to take charge of the coaching whip.
