German soccer superstar, "Julius Caesar", was unfortunately unable to attend the farewell ceremony of "King Billy" due to health reasons. In recent years, his health has been deteriorating and he was unable to attend the World Cup in Qatar. Although he has been a close friend of Billy for many years, he was unable to see his friend off in person.
Beacon Bowers, who is now 77 years old, said with emotion, "How I would have loved to go to Billy's funeral service, however, unfortunately, my health did not allow me to travel long distances and I could only be by Billy's side silently on his final journey. I didn't have much contact with Billy as we were both battling illness, but our friendship will last a lifetime and those wonderful memories will remain forever."
He also fondly recalled, "Billy always liked to refer to me as a 'white brother,' and he was just that, as much my own brother, and even in the face of strangers, Billy conveyed endless warmth."
