The funeral of soccer superstar Billy, who sadly passed away last week, was unveiled early Monday morning (2) Brazilian local time. The Santos home stadium welcomed countless fans who lined the streets eager to say their final goodbyes to the legendary hero. It was reported that the crowd snaked up to 2 kilometers long and Billy's 100-year-old mother was also present. International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) president Nfatianu announced that a proposal would be made to countries around the world to name a stadium in Billy's honor to commemorate the immortal soccer hero.

Billy's funeral service was held at Sandoz's home ground, the Belmiro Stadium, and fans were already queuing anxiously outside the stadium before the ceremony even started. Many fans were overcome with emotion, and Billy's beloved wife Aoki was caught repeatedly wiping away tears. Reports say Billy's 100-year-old mother insisted on being there despite being seriously ill. Nima and other members of the industry came out in droves to bid Billy farewell.

President Nfatianu himself attended the funeral and made a highly significant proposal: we will launch an initiative to the 211 member states of FIFA to have a country name a soccer stadium as Stade Billy. The three-time World Cup winner passed away last week at the age of 82 from colon cancer.
