In the English Premier League, the Red Devils Manchester United recently came out of a transfer news: the goalkeeper Dubafka, borrowed from Newcastle, was recalled by the Newcastle club six months in advance. The Slovakian international has only appeared twice in the EFL Cup since joining United, and many fans have blasted this transfer operation as "the most boring deal in history". United are reportedly weighing up whether to bring in a new goalkeeper to fill the void.

United, who had originally planned to borrow Dubafka for a season, released a statement on Sunday (1) revealing, "Dubafka has been recalled by his parent team Newcastle. Since joining, he has only made two appearances in the EFL Cup. We are grateful for Dubafka's contribution at United and wish him all the best for the future."

Currently, Spanish goalkeeper Dikia is firmly in the starting XI, while United usually use 36-year-old Tom Heaton as an alternative goalkeeper in Premier League matches. Dubafka's departure will have a limited impact on the team, but according to sources, United have yet to decide whether they will sign a second goalkeeper in January. Earlier, there were rumors that the "Red Devils" had their eyes on Swiss goalkeeper Ennishema.
