In Monday's (26th) Premier League relegation battle, Ewarton lost 1-2 to Wolves at home, just one point short of the relegation zone and in a precarious situation. According to The Sun, Ewarton boss Lambert plans to ask Manchester United for a loan deal for starlet Aylanga when the transfer window opens next month.
Early on in the game, Ewarton showed strength and broke the deadlock with a header from center Yeli Wenner just seven minutes into the game. However, the Wolves did not give up and Pudens equalized in 22 minutes. In stoppage time, substitute Airoli scored another goal to seal a 2-1 win, giving the 'Beetroots' their third consecutive loss in the Premier League.
Despite the defeat for Ewarton, manager Pat Lam is convinced of the need to bring in attackers to turn things around and has expressed keen interest in Aranga. The 20-year-old Swedish international is currently on the bench at Manchester United, and with the rise of another rising star, Canazo, this season, Erlanga's chances of starting have diminished. A loan offer from Ewarton seems to be on the cards.
However, United's recent loss of Cron and the uncertainty over the timing of Chaton Sinzu's comeback are feared to make manager Tannhäuser wary of letting Erlanga go.
