Argentina's "Blue and Whites" faced off against Croatsia's "Griz" in the first match of the semi-final in Cada. Argentina's Lionel Scaloni changed his tactics to a "4-4-2" to counter the strength of the Croats' midfield. CROATIA stuck to their "4-3-3" formation. In the first half, both sides played cautiously and at a slow pace. However, in the 34th minute, Croesia made a mistake at the back, and Argentine striker Julian "Spider" Alvarez was fouled by Dominik Livakovic, and the referee awarded a penalty kick, which was taken by Lionel Messi. "Lionel Messi scored to give Argentina a 1-0 lead.
In less than five minutes, Argentina again seized the opportunity of Croesus' corner kick, and Alvarez took the ball into the penalty area and broke the goal, making the score 2-0. In the second half, Croesus changed the formation to strengthen the attack, while Argentina solidified the defense. In the 69th minute, Lionel Messi scored again, assisting Alvarez to make it 3-0, and the Griz were unable to recover, and Argentina advanced to the final.
In another match, France's "Gallic Roosters" faced Morocco's "Atlas Lions". Morocco changed their formation to "5-4-1", but faced with France's strong side attack, the first goal was scored by midfielder Antonio Griezmann in the 5th minute, giving France a 1-0 lead.
Despite being a goal down, Morocco kept up the defensive tempo. With captain Romain Saiss out injured, Morocco went back to a four-guard position, while France created chances through midfield pressing. In the second half, France ceded possession to Morocco and tried to use defensive counterattacks to open up a gap. However, French coach Didier Deschamps made a quick change in formation, and Randal Kolo Muani came on to score on a counterattack, giving France a 2-0 victory over Morocco and advancing to the final.
