The Spanish national team, which lost on penalties in the last 16 of the World Cup, has embarked on a journey back to Spain on Wednesday (7). Some of the players who did not return with the team have quickly dispersed in anticipation of the Europa League qualifiers. Barcelona announced that the players will enjoy their vacation and regroup next Friday (16th) to prepare for the reopening of the league.

The Spanish national team bus left the Qatar camp the day after the departure and the players went their separate ways. It was reported that the team leader, Anriki, returned to Spain with the team, ending their journey in Qatar, while some of the players chose to stay in Qatar to relax.

Barcelona, the team with the most World Cup players, did not rush to assemble. A total of 17 players in the team were involved in the World Cup tournament, and coach Xavi decided to give the players a nine-day break. Considering the physical and mental exhaustion of the players during the World Cup as well as the huge physical exertion, Xavi emphasized that the psychological state of the players is equally important. He hoped that the players would be able to rest sufficiently, build up their strength and regain their confidence to meet the second half of the season with a more positive attitude.

Five Barcelona players have reportedly returned to the team, including Dustin Dustin and Anders Kirchen, who returned early due to their group stage exit, as well as Ronno Anaozu, who has returned to the Barcelona medical clinic to receive treatment. There are eight Barcelona players in the Spanish national team, with only Ary Garcia unable to play due to injury.
