Portugal's soccer army made it to the last eight of the World Cup, and the road to winning the championship seemed to be within reach, however, the soccer feast of two defenders, Danilo Penrina and Nuño Vendice, came to an abrupt end. The Portuguese Football Association announced that they had to say goodbye to the tournament early to focus on their treatment due to injuries.

Danilo Penrina, who now plays for French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), was unfortunately injured in the first group game, while another left back, Danilo Penrina, who also plays for PSG, was injured in the second round against Uruguay, and both have decided to return to PSG to undergo specialized rehabilitation.

Portugal's defense has been hit hard as a result, and 39-year-old veteran Bibi has had to shoulder the burden, while at left back, Rafael Gurrielu is expected to be a solid starter, as he not only scored a goal but also contributed an assist in a stunning performance against Switzerland in the last match.
