Former Cameroonian soccer superstar Idouo has retired from the game, but his influence has not been extinguished along with the retirement ceremony. Recently, he was caught in a heated argument with an Algerian man with camera equipment in hand outside the stadium during a World Cup round of 16 match between Brazil and South Korea, even kicking the other man to the ground.

"The Cheetah later issued a statement apologizing to the public and explaining why he had lost his temper: "I apologize for my behavior, which was not in line with my character. In fact, I have been harassed by Algerian fans ever since Cameroon knocked out Algeria in the World Cup qualifying round. I hope the Algerian authorities will take action against this unhealthy phenomenon."
