In Tuesday's (22) World Cup clash in Qatar, the Welsh team and the United States ended in a 1-1 draw. As the final whistle blew through the night sky, Welsh defensive midfielder Nicol Williams burst into tears in front of the cameras, having lost his grandfather just 24 hours earlier.
Despite the sad news about his loved one, Nicol Williams bravely returned to the field the day before the match, replaced him in the second half, and fought back with his teammates to force a draw against a very strong American team. However, when the game ended, he could no longer contain his grief and burst into tears. He turned to the camera and choked out, "This is for you, Grandpa." Then, he looked up at the stars as if he was pouring out his heart to the sky.
