German national team goalkeeper Neua broke shocking news on social media platforms on Thursday (3), when he publicly admitted that he had suffered from skin cancer and had completed three surgeries. It is reported that Newa has now recovered, recently sidelined with a shoulder injury, but has recently begun to resume training and is expected to return to the field before the start of the World Cup.

Newa, 36, took to the social media platform to reveal that he has invested in the development of a sunscreen with German women's tennis player Kiba. Newia said, "We have both suffered from skin disorders, Kiba from a sun-induced skin pigmentation disorder and me from facial skin cancer, which has undergone three surgeries. As a result, we are particularly concerned about sunscreen and skin protection."

Germany's Bild reports that Newa has continued to play despite learning of his illness, having just undergone surgery and been photographed with tape on his face during a league match against Bielefeld last November. Newa has now reportedly recovered and the goalkeeper, who has kept 113 shots for the German national team, is expected to represent Germany again in the World Cup final week.
