The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has pressured Premier League clubs to allow their Argentine internationals to return to the team early in order to focus on preparations for the upcoming World Cup, a move intended to exempt them from the November 12-13 league fixtures, according to an exclusive revelation by the UK's Daily Mail. However, the move has been met with collective resistance from the Premier League clubs.

There are currently six Argentine internationals in the Premier League - Manchester United's center back Lisindo Martinez, rising star Canazo, Aston Villa's midfielder Beandia, goalkeeper Damian Martinez, Tottenham Hotspur's center back Gisdian Romero, and Baildon's midfielder Alex McAllister.

The sources revealed that the Argentine FA had attempted to negotiate with one of the Premier League clubs individually, but had been rebuffed. The club then urgently contacted other Premier League clubs with Argentine internationals in an attempt to reach a consensus and jointly reject the Argentine FA's demands. In the interest of their respective clubs, the Premier League teams have shown unprecedented unity and it is expected that the Argentine FA's plan will be difficult to realize.
