Manchester United flanker Anthony Mafios spun around twice in the 38th minute of their Europa League clash with Schoureffer's after a break down the right-hand side, a move that sparked so much controversy that even Manchester United star Scott Skougs called him a "clown". However, the 22-year-old Brazilian international did not apologize for the move, claiming that it was part of the art of soccer and that he would continue to do so.
"We Brazilians are known for the art of soccer, and I won't stop doing that because that style has shaped who I am today." Anthony Maffeos responded this way on social media.
However, United manager Tannhäuser was not a fan of this "art". At the end of the first half, he replaced Anthony Mathias. If he continues with this type of maneuvering in the future, it may not be good for his career.
