Middlesbrough Football Club has officially announced that former Manchester United caretaker leader Cavic has officially taken over the reins as the team's new leader. The former Manchester United player was appointed to the position last season, but had no choice but to step down at the end of the season after failing to beat Lanlick. Now, he finally has a new challenge, aiming to help the struggling Middlesbrough to succeed in relegation.

Since the sacking of manager Vedda at the beginning of October, Middlesbrough immediately threw down the gauntlet to Cavic. Although the 41-year-old former England international initially politely declined the offer, he eventually decided to take up the challenge. He said, "It's great to be joining Middlesbrough, I grew up in the North East and know how much soccer means to this area, and it's a great honor to take on the role of leader."

Cavic has been training with Middlesbrough since he was 9 years old, and this time he returns to his parent club, hoping to bring significant contribution to the team. Currently, Middlesbrough is not doing well in the Championship, with only 4 wins, 5 draws and 7 losses in 16 rounds of matches, placing them in the bottom four of the table. Facing the huge pressure of relegation, Cavic's road ahead is not smooth.

After Susketha was sacked by United last November, Cavic came in to lead the team in three matches with two wins and a draw, including a UEFA Cup win over Villarreal, a draw with Chelsea and a win over Arsenal in the Premier League, a performance that earned rave reviews.

However, United's management chose German star Ranjic as caretaker leader, and Cavic could only leave in disgrace. Now that he is coaching Middlesbrough, it is the perfect opportunity for him to make a comeback.
