Although Fathi remains nominally Barca's No.10, his future is unclear as he looks to impress new boss Furyk by showing himself in pre-season in the United States.
According to Relevo, Yamal is thought to be one of the candidates being considered within Barcelona for the new number 10 shirt, but he has expressed some concerns about it. Although Yamal also wore Barca's No. 10 shirt at youth level, he understands that the No. 10 for the first team is of extraordinary significance. When Messi left, the club chose Fathi as his successor and looked to him to fill the void left by Messi, which meant a lot to Yamal.
