Manchester United striker Gullenwood's rape case drama has taken another turn for the worse, with recent rumors of him getting back together with his accuser and ex-girlfriend Harriet Robson seemingly taking a turn for the worse. However, Manchester police suddenly announced on Saturday (16) that they had re-arrested Glenwood and formally charged him with rape, forcible control of another person and bodily harm, and he will be tried in court on Monday (17).
A police spokesman revealed, "After an in-depth analysis of the evidence by a panel of experts, the prosecutor has laid three charges." Glenwoodt has been released on bail since his initial arrest in January this year, but one of the conditions of his bail was that he should have no contact with the plaintiff. Recently, Glenwoodt was photographed in a car with Harriet Robson and the two followed each other on IG, it is not yet known if this new development is related to the breach of the bail conditions.
Glenlivet remains on United's U21 roster for this season. In response to this formal police prosecution, United also released a statement saying, "The club has been informed that Glenwood has been criminally prosecuted and he is currently suspended until the final outcome of the legal process."
