Tottenham Hotspur have signed a number of new faces in this season's transfer window, however, with the exception of two players, Biletto and Richard Lichtenstein, who have been given more frequent appearances, many of the new recruits don't seem to be getting the attention they deserve. In particular, the young right back, Dietrich Spence, who joined the club for £20 million, has only played one minute of football all season. His sister publicly blasted leader Dryland, who didn't flinch and made it clear: "I'm in charge here!"
Deejay Spence attracted a lot of anticipation from the fans after his impressive performances for Forest last season. However, Drylands has preferred to trust the on-again, off-again Amazon at right wing-back, with the Brazilian star facing suspension for a red in the latest game against Arsenal. It was expected that Dickie Spence would take this opportunity to step up, but Dryland stuck with Matteaudi for the match at Brighton and did not give Dickie Spence a chance to play.
Deejay Spence's sister recently publicly slammed Dryland for not knowing how to hire, to which Dryland responded vehemently, "Fans have their opinions, but I'm at the training ground and I've seen the players perform, and I'll go with the best person for the game. If they trust me, it's best; if they don't, there's nothing I can do. I'm the leader of Tottenham and I'm in charge here!"
In fact, when Dijk Spence joined Tottenham, Drylands has made it clear that the move was a decision made by the Tottenham hierarchy and not his personal request. The 22-year-old seems to be struggling to get a chance to play under Dryland.
