Inter Milan started the new season with a 2-0 win over Pacinvestonia in the UEFA Europa League Group C match in the early hours of Wednesday morning (14th), thanks to a key goal and assist from veteran Disko. At the age of 36 years and 180 days, Disko is the second oldest player in the history of the UEFA Europa League to score and assist, just behind Chelsea's legendary Duopa.
Inter Milan are without their leading scorer Nadalu Martinez, and with Lukaku out of the lineup, Disko and Zua Kungoria are teaming up in the forward line, showing a good understanding of each other.
The veteran scored his first UEFA Europa League goal in almost four and a half years when Zuaquengoria's pinpoint diagonal pass was quickly taken up by Disco just after the 20th minute of play.
In the second leg, Disko made a quick break down the middle of the pitch and passed the ball to Dufess, who calmly fired into the empty net to make it 2-0, and Dufess became the second oldest player in UEFA history to record a goal and an assist, behind the record of 36 years and 259 days set by D'Aubas in November 2014.
It's worth noting that Disco also became the second oldest UEFA goalscorer in Inter's history, behind only the year's marquee player, Sindi, whose record was 37 years and 71 days.
