Just as soccer superstar Paul Puba is dominating the headlines with news of his surgery, a farce of family strife is unfolding. His brother Matthias Puba has revealed that Paul had secretly hired a sorcerer to try and cast a hex on French teammate Killian McBarbie. Paul Puba is said to have confessed to the police, admitting that he did hire the sorcerer but claiming that it was only for the services of a charity in Africa. And McBarbie has spoken out for the first time on Tuesday (6), saying he is willing to believe Paul Puba's explanation.
Mathespuba had previously accused Paulpuba of not only asking a sorcerer to pray for no injuries for himself, but also attempting to cast a seppuku on McBarbee, causing injuries to the other. As a result, McBarbie reported to the police, accusing Matspuba and several of his close friends of extortion. As the French police intervened in the investigation, Paul Puba admitted to hiring the sorcerer, but insisted that his actions were limited to providing help to African charities and that he had not cast a hex on anyone.
