Before the end of the half, Liverpool's Dawan Nunes pumped in a narrow space, Ewarton keeper Bickford pounced but the ball hit the crossbar again, Luz Dyas added a shot but hit the post, both sides had nothing to show for the half.
In the second half, Liverpool immediately adjusted their tactics, with the recent hot form of Roberto Firmino replacing Fabio Cavallo, and attacked "Mopping Up Sugar" with full force. Davin Nunes created chaos in the box, but Sammy Kass shot over the bar and Roberto Firmino's header was never able to get past Bickford. Shortly after, Ewarton launched a quick counter-attack and Ma'obi's close-range shot was saved by Liverpool keeper Alison Biggar, who followed up with another shot but it was spoiled by Goyadi's offside, and substitute Dewey McNeil's quick-fire shot narrowly changed direction and almost put the ball into an empty net. Just before the end of the game, Mohammed Shana missed a good chance and hit the post to make it a 0-0 draw.
