Manchester United's team is in flux with new recruits, while the former potential star has become a victim. Recently, Manchester United officially announced the loan of 19-year-old midfielder McBride to Championship side Birmingham for one season.

Looking back three years ago, United brought in the French-born Tunisian international McBride from Monaco for a fee of €10 million and incorporated him into the youth system, showing how much United valued his potential. The youngster made his first team debut for United in May last year, and with then-manager Susquezza's interest in promoting young players, the future looks bright for McBride.

However, with the departure of Suskecha, the situation for United's youth players took a sharp turn for the worse, especially with current manager Tannhäuser's desperate need to prove his coaching ability and his preference for reusing established stars. Against this backdrop, the future of the young players was in jeopardy and McBride was loaned out to Birmingham to gain more experience in the game.

It's worth noting that Birmingham have a long history of loaning players to Manchester United, with players such as Linge and Jongdahi having previously been loaned to the side.
