Premier League giants Manchester United have turned the tables recently, winning two in a row, and the transfer market has been full of good news. According to multiple media outlets, United have successfully brought in Ajax's young winger Anthony Maffeos for a fee of 100 million euros. The Brazilian international's agent took to his IG in the early hours of Monday morning (29th) to leave the words "Here we go!", which seemed to signal that the deal was finalized.

Veteran soccer journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that "Manchester United and Ajax have agreed a transfer fee of 100 million euros for a contract until 2027, including a one-year extension option. The contract papers are ready and the transfer fee will be a Dutch Eredivisie transfer record, with Anthony Mafios joining Manchester United." The 22-year-old wing forward's agent, Bidouzou, also posted an airplane emoji on IG with the caption "Here we go!" to show that the transfer has been finalized.

Anthony Mafios has stopped training and playing before Ajax beat Utrecht 2-0 away on Sunday (28). Ajax head coach Shuruta said after the game, "It's sad that everything seems to be dominated by money. But I can only accept this reality because this is the world we live in."
