Ligue 1 rivals Nice, on Monday (5), welcomed a heavyweight new recruit - 28-year-old England midfielder Barkley. The former England World Cup international, who played in the Premier League for Ewarton, Ashton Villa and Chelsea, had an exciting chapter in his soccer career that culminated in Chelsea's final game, in which he scored the winning goal, and was the perfect curtain call for the Abramovic era.

Barkley, who opted for free agency after his contract with Chelsea expired this season, has decided to continue his career in Ligue 1, joining Nice, who also have a number of former Premier League players in their ranks. Nice themselves, this year, also welcomed a number of former Premier League stars, such as Casper Schmidt from Lister City, Arsenal's Nicholas Bibby, as well as played in the Premier League Allan Lance, ex-Manchester United's Schneiderian, ex-Sewington's Lemina, ex-Fulham midfielder Zubairin, and Brentford loanee Berge Sullenson, etc. Bakri's addition to the team will undoubtedly make the Nice team's Premier League lineup even more star-studded.

In the new season, Nice will not only be playing in Ligue 1, but also in the UEFA Europa League, where their Group D opponents include Koln, Bordigaux and Slovac. For the majority of Premier League fans, this is undoubtedly a visual feast not to be missed.
