The players were criticized for their debut defeat in the Premier League this season, sparking a great deal of discontent amongst the fans after their performance in the clash against Whiteleyton. The Glasha family, the owners of the club, were once again targeted. A group of fervent Red Devils fans have launched a protest called Zero Otfo, planning to sit out the double-red-red-red-red match against Liverpool on August 22, UK time, with the intention of expressing their dissatisfaction with the Grassa family by embarrassing them with a silent scene on the pitch.

The club has long been criticized for its high level of debt and its alleged focus on commercial interests at the expense of soccer itself. Red Devils fans have long regarded the Glasha family as a problem and have organized various protests to demand their removal.
The most serious of these protests took place in May last year, when a protest called Occupy Otford broke out, with fans voicing their strong opposition to the Glasha family's agreement to join the UEFA Super League, seeing it as a betrayal of the club. Thousands of Red Devils fans demonstrated at the Old Trafford stadium before the double-red-red-red match between Manchester United and Liverpool, with some fans even breaking through security, entering the stadium and setting off smoke bombs on the grass, leading to the postponement of the match.
For this double-red match, the Devils fans are once again ready, although they only plan to boycott the match and not enter the stadium to watch the game, but it remains to be seen whether such action will affect the normal conduct of the game.
