In Tuesday's (9) dawn Championship clash, Walford drew 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion away from home. The Hornets' star striker Ismenashaia was the center of attention in the clash. The Senegalese international stunned the crowd with a superb Beckham-esque free kick from 60 yards out in the first half, but unfortunately he missed a good chance from 12 yards out towards the end of the game, and ended up being the scapegoat for his team's loss of points.

Relegated from the Premier League this season, Walford is naturally regarded as the favorite to make it to the Super League with the luxury of an attacking line consisting of Ismaila Saya, Emmanuel Dennis and Zuopodo. Away from West Bromwich Albion, Walford broke the deadlock in the 12th minute. Ismaila Shaya stole the ball near the center circle, and when he saw West Brom's goalkeeper attacking, he immediately shot the ball into the empty net. According to the statistics of the Daily Mail, the distance of this shot reached 60 yards, and it took only 2.61 seconds from kick to goal, so it is no wonder that this performance has made him a strong contender for the "Golden Goal of the Year".
