Recently, the news about Barcelona's desire to bring in Manchester City's central midfielder Bernardo Silva for a large sum of money has been spreading, making the Blue Moon fans upset. Initially, City boss Pep Guardiola vehemently denied this, vowing to keep the Portuguese international. However, Guardiola's attitude has loosened in recent days, saying that he will not stand in Silva's way if he intends to leave.
Guardiola said: "I certainly hope that Silva can stay, he is a very good player. But life is full of unknowns, if he chooses to stay, that is naturally the best result. If he decides to leave, I can not force to stay, I always respect the player's choice."
Nonetheless, Guardiola also revealed that City have yet to receive an official offer from Barcelona. Should City finally decide to let Silva go, they will make an official announcement to that effect. City's bid of €80 million for the 28-year-old midfielder is said to have attracted a lot of attention in the market.
