Roma FC have been making a lot of moves recently, and on Friday (5), Dutch international Werner Daum arrived in Rome on a private jet, personally transported by President Felid Gold. He will join Roma on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain with a buyout clause.

Looking back to last season, Roma had invited Molenu to coach the club and was greeted by President Feridekine himself in his private jet. Now, Werner Dum is enjoying the same treatment, which shows the importance Roma attaches to this player. This summer, Roma has already brought in Nemanja Madi and Paulo Dabbana, and the addition of Werner Dumm will undoubtedly further enhance the strength and influence of the team, demonstrating the club's ambition.

Regarding the details of Wenadum's joining, according to media reports, Roma and PSG have reached a rent-and-buy agreement, whereby Roma will bear 50% of the player's salary, which is about 5 million euros. If Wenadum plays more than half of the matches for Roma this season, or if Roma qualifies for the Europa League next season, the buyout clause will be triggered. At that time, Roma will have to pay PSG a transfer fee of 8 million euros to formally acquire Wenadum.

The signing of Werner Dum has come at a price. After leaving Liverpool to join PSG last season, he made just 31 appearances, 18 of which were starts, but was substituted 12 times midway through the season, failing to be utilized by the team. This summer, he agreed to a loan move to Roma and gave up around €1 million in bonuses in a bid to get more appearances at Roma. Judging by the VIP treatment he received on his first day of joining, I believe he made a wise choice.
