I was promised last season that I would be the team's first choice goalkeeper after the Europa League. Because of this promise, I turned down numerous tempting transfer offers. However, the promise was not kept. At this age, wasting a full 12 months as a substitute is nothing short of criminal and I am furious."
In order to avoid being "cheated" again, 25-year-old Deon Henderson publicly refused to communicate with Tannhäuser: "I don't want to communicate with the new team leader, Tannhäuser, and I don't even want him to see me in training, because I know that he probably wants to keep me. I have already expressed my desire to leave the team to the top management and will not accept being benched again. So I had pretty much decided to leave before Tanhag arrived."
