Liverpool FC have recently revitalized their forward line, following the introduction of Luis Dyas in January, and this summer's huge investment in Davin Nunes, coupled with the extension of the contract of the ace goal scorer Mohammed Sana, the forward line is a star-studded lineup. However, Diego Zuda has not been forgotten after his impressive performance last season. Liverpool announced on Tuesday (2) that they have extended the Portuguese striker's contract by five years, with additional bonuses to recognize his outstanding performance.
25-year-old Diego Zuda moved to Liverpool from Wolves two years ago and has steadily improved, contributing 15 goals in the Premier League last season. Although he still has three years left on his contract with Liverpool, manager Jürgen Klopp sees him as a central player in his plans for the future and has extended his contract early by five years. Diego Zuda said, "It's a great honor to have my contract renewed and this deal proves that the club has faith in me."
Diego Zuda is currently earning £90,000 a week, well below Mohamed Sana's £400,000 a week in his new deal. The new deal will reportedly see a significant increase in his salary, which Liverpool's pay policy is to pay out in the form of 'heavy bonuses', with part of his salary being paid out in the form of lucrative bonuses. Diago Zuda is currently recovering from an injury and is expected to be back in action in a few weeks.
