Manchester United are desperately seeking to bring in a new right-back after decisively reselling left-back Aleksandar Dinis to Westville. According to The Sun, the Red Devils have contacted Barcelona with the intention of acquiring the opposition's right-back Daz, with a transfer fee expected to be as high as £17 million.
United's interest in D'Arcy is due in large part to the fact that he was a former "favorite" of manager Tannhäuser. The 21-year-old American international, who comes from Ajax's youth camp, is technically versatile and can play in both left and right wing-back positions. After contributing two goals and six assists for Ajax in the 2019/20 season, D'Arcy was a favorite of Tannhäuser and was subsequently signed by Barcelona.
However, Das has not been fully valued after joining Barcelona, and coach Xavi even plans to sell him this summer. Given the willingness of Manchester United to acquire the player, the deal is likely to be finalized.
