On a passionate Sunday dawn, Bayern Munich successfully defended the Bundesliga Cup with a thrilling 5-3 win over RB Leipzig in the away leg of the competition, the tenth time they have lifted the title. Strong summer transfer window signing Shadiovanni hit the ground running in his first official game, scoring and lifting the trophy, his fourth title in a fruitful 2022 campaign!

Musyana was the first to break through for Bayern Munich in the opening 14 minutes of the match. In the 31st minute, Shadiovanni scored a header at the near post after a pinpoint pass from Kinabi, and just before halftime, Benavon Pawlat added another goal to extend the lead to 3-0. The match resumed with a fierce battle between the two sides, with RB Leipzig's Houston-Bow, Nyi Gangu, and Daniel Omoh scoring three times in a row while Bayern Munich got a goal each from Kiabi and Lilezini to seal the 5-3 win.
