Manchester United's tour of the Far East came to an end with a warm-up match against Atletico Madrid in the Norwegian capital of Oslo on Saturday night (30th). In this game, United showed a very different attitude from the Far East tour, although the opening performance is not bad, but in the second half suffered difficulties, failed to break through the solid defense of Atletico Madrid, and finally 0-1 hate, suffered the first pre-season warm-up game loss.

United's line-up was tweaked for this game compared to the Far East trip, with substitutes and young players not being heavily involved. Aranga came into the starting lineup in place of Chaton Sinzu, however, his partnership with Daloji on the right was slightly rusty, and midfield pairing of Fett and McTominney were also mediocre, while star players from the Far East tour, Anthony Martial and Rashford, were noticeably muted this campaign.

Atlético de Madrid held their ground, and although they did not have as much possession as United, they did not lose ground. In the second half, the team started to show pressure with the arrival of Zuario Feliz, Ejailu Morada and Kishavin.

United made substitutions in the second half for Yundić and Kismet Aleksson, but to limited effect. In the 86th minute of the match, Atletico Madrid was attacked by Zouo Félix, who sealed the win with a brilliant long-distance shot. In extra time, Fite also received a red card and was sent off. In the end, United lost the warm-up match 0-1 and suffered their first defeat in the pre-season warm-up match.
