The dust has settled on two of Manchester United's biggest attractions this summer - Gisdian Alexandre and Ricardo Martinez - to take over the polo shirts. Danish midfielder Kirsten Allison will take over the No. 14 jersey left behind by Lengyel, while Ricardo Martinez will wear No. 6. Intriguingly, both men wore No. 21 last season, so with this change of numbers, could it be that the bearer of the No. 21 jersey is about to be revealed?

Gisdian Alexandre had his heart set on numbers 8 and 23, but these have gone to Pannu Fernandes and Lauchyshire. He wore No. 21 during his time at Binford, but this time he opted for the No. 14 vacated by the departure of Lengyel, a number that had belonged to Chavia Boots Nandis, Aaron Smith and others.

Lysander Martinez, as a centerpiece, naturally wears number 6. However, he wore number 21 for all three years he played for Ajax, and now the number is still vacant. Why Kristian Aleksson and Ricciardo Martinez preferred to give up the number 21 is a matter of speculation for the fans. Is the number 21 already reserved? Don't forget that United's top target Frankie Dijon has been wearing number 21 from Ajax to Barcelona.
