Former Manchester United legend Ronny is now in charge of the coaching staff of American team D.C. United. According to the exclusive disclosure of The Sun, Ronny is interested in signing former United teammate Phil Jones, aiming to enhance the team's strength, but also provide the midfield core with a ray of hope, which can be said to be two birds with one stone.

Sources have revealed that Ronny was interested in borrowing Phil Jones from Manchester United when he was in charge of playing for the county last season, however, due to the club's financial difficulties, the plan did not work out in the end. Now, Ronnie has moved to the United States and is still thinking about Phil Jones, and plans to make another request to United to bring in the 30-year-old English defender.

Phil Jones has spent most of the last two years recuperating from injuries, and despite making his comeback in January this year, he has only made five appearances, not to mention not being able to participate in United's warm-up matches for this summer's tour of Asia, and has apparently been dropped by new manager Tannhäuser. Even if he stays in the team, the outlook is worrying and Phil Jones is expected to accept Ronnie's offer to join D.C. United.

D.C. United has struggled this season and currently sits at the bottom of the East Coast standings. Ronny is actively looking for new additions to the team in an effort to help the team get back on the winning track.
