Arsenal have revealed their 33-man US training squad, with alleged sexual assault scandal central midfielder Thomas Pedley among them - has the 29-year-old Ghanaian international proved his innocence?
British media previously broke the news that a 29-year-old international player playing for a Premier League club in North London had been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, and although the player's name was not revealed at the time, Thomas Pedley became a target.
Subsequently, the Nigerian media revealed that Thomas Pedley was actually the victim, innocently implicated in a trap set by his ex-girlfriend out of love.
In fact, the British media had reported that the player in question had been banned by the club from pre-season training, while Thomas Pedley has now been named in Arsenal's list for the U.S. tour, seemingly free of the "suspect" label.
Arsenal will play three warm-up matches in the United States, with the first match against Everton on Sunday morning (17th) Hong Kong time, followed by Orlando City and Chelsea respectively, before welcoming West Vale to the Emirates Stadium on the evening of July 30th.
