When Argentine soccer legend Mies joined the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) squad last summer, despite a drop in his goal tally, the PSG management is still interested in extending the 35-year-old's deal by a year, targeting the height of the 2024 season, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

The PSG hierarchy are said to believe that the addition of Mace to the squad has significantly boosted the team's fighting spirit. Despite scoring just six goals in Ligue 1 last season, he contributed 14 assists, second only to Kilian McBarbie's 17, which is a testament to the fact that Mace can create plenty of scoring opportunities for his team even if he doesn't score the goals himself.

Not only that, but Mez has also brought huge commercial value to PSG. Last season, he attracted 10 new sponsors to the club, resulting in a 13% increase in sponsorship fee revenue, and pushed PSG jersey sales past 1 million for the first time, with his No. 30 jersey accounting for 60% of the total.
