The season has changed dramatically, and the young left winger of the Brighton team, Guglielmo Guglielmo, has been rumored to be a favorite of Manchester City's leader, Diego Cordero, as he shone in the Premier League in the last season. However, it seems that Brighton are not willing to let go of this Spanish "explosive head" easily. According to the Daily Mirror, Brighton are in talks with Guglielmo to extend his contract, with the intention of getting him to turn down the temptation of City and stick with the team.

The 23-year-old Gugulena only joined Brighton from Kidafi last year, but has quickly become one of the best left-handers in the Premier League. He played in 38 league games last season and his energy at full speed was remarkable. Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing him in order to bring back Zouo Janshiro, who played on the left side last season, to the right side for an estimated transfer fee of £50 million.

However, Brighton have recently taken the initiative, with Chairman Bron making it clear: "There are only a handful of teams in the whole of the Premier League that can claim to have a 'not for sale' player, but we have not received any offers for Gugulena. He was our double Footballer of the Year last season and we are in no way willing to let the best player leave." It has been reported that Brighton have offered Gugulena a new deal with the expectation that he will accept and stay with the team.
