Former Liverpool steel center back Skadir has officially bid farewell to the green field, drawing an end to his 20-year career. The 37-year-old Slovakian legend scored a world-beating goal in the 2012 EFL Cup final to help Liverpool win the title. In February this year, Liverpool won the EFL Cup again after a decade, as if it was a silent tribute to Skadir.

Scudetto moved to Liverpool from Sinn Féin in 2008 and played 8 seasons for the Reds, making 320 appearances and scoring 18 goals. One of his most memorable appearances was in the 2012 EFL Cup final, where a crucial goal from Scudetto helped Liverpool to a 1-1 draw with Cardiff City and a 2-2 draw in extra time, before eventually winning on penalties.

In 2016, Shkadir moved to Fehrenbach and has since played for Atlanta and Bashakshushi. Last year, he returned to Slovakia to join Spartak Trnava, and is rumored to have made the decision to retire after his mobility had become difficult due to injuries and health issues.
