In the early hours of Wednesday morning (13th), a fierce UEFA Europa League last-eight second-leg clash unfolded, with last year's champions Chelsea taking on Real Madrid away from home, and at one stage seemingly on the verge of victory as they led 3-0. However, they had to go through extra time to decide the winner after being chased down to 3-1 and drawing 4-4 on aggregate in both rounds. In this nail-biting game, Binzema once again proved to be the savior of the "Galaxy", scoring the most crucial goal in the extra time. Although Real Madrid eventually lost 2-3, they still advanced to the quarterfinals with a total score of 5-4, and Chelsea's title defense came to an abrupt end.
Chelsea were almost in a desperate position to go out of the competition after losing 1-3 in the first leg of their home match. However, in this match, they turned their backs on the visitors and opened the scoring with a brilliant goal from Mason Monty just 15 minutes into the match.

Just when the world thought Chelsea would pull off a miracle, Real Madrid substitute Lodi Gorgos scored a goal in the 80th minute to bring the score to 1-3, tying the game 4-4 on aggregate.
Going into extra time, Real Madrid's golden pairing was at it again, with Yunis Oszulia's cross from the left being headed home by Binschmar, the 34-year-old French international scoring a total of four goals in the two rounds of the tournament to head Real Madrid's progression.
After advancing to the quarterfinals, Real Madrid will play the winner of Manchester City and Real Madrid for a place in the final.
