One of the stars of Dutch soccer, national team skipper Yoon Gol, revealed his battle with prostate cancer in person on a Dutch TV program. Now he has announced that he has successfully defeated the cancer cells in his body after a series of treatments, including 25 sessions of radiation therapy. After a long recovery period, the three-time Dutch manager will be in high spirits to lead his team to the World Cup in Qatar this year, allowing all the fans of the "Orange Army" to put their hearts at ease for the time being.

Speaking straight after his recovery, Younger said that he has been through all the trials and tribulations and that the treatment process was grueling but the end result was gratifying. The experienced coach will once again be tasked with leading the team to the World Cup in Qatar at the end of the year. In Group G of the World Cup qualifiers, the Netherlands managed to qualify with a clean sweep over Turkey. In the group stage, the Dutch were placed in Group A, where they will compete with hosts Qatar, South American powerhouse Ecuador and African powerhouse Senegal.
