In the 17th round of the Premier League this evening, Fulham played Southampton to a 0-0 draw at home. After the game, Fulham coach Marco Silva appeared on the Premier League Made program to give a detailed analysis of the matchup.

Marco Silva was the first to express his regret over the result: "Originally, we deserved to win. From the beginning of the game, we tried our best to break the deadlock. If we had more strikers in the squad, the result would have been different. Unfortunately, our strikers did not pose a substantial threat to the Southampton goal."

He went on to elaborate that his team missed several obvious scoring chances in the game: "We had at least two very clear chances to score, but unfortunately we couldn't capitalize on them. We should have created more scoring chances and shown a sharper and calmer attitude in the game. It was definitely a mistake on our part and if we had made better decisions during the game, we could have won the game."

Marco Silva spoke highly of 17-year-old midfielder Josh King's performance on his debut: "Josh King is a very gifted young talent. It's no coincidence that he got his debut today, he has been excellent in training and showed his strengths in certain moments of the game. This was a key game in his career and I'm sure he'll do even better in the future."

However, Marco Silva also expressed his concern over the injury situation in the squad: "The injuries to Sander Baeger and Sasa Lukic are a huge blow for us. Lukic's shoulder has been injured for a long time and although he felt a little bit better towards the end of the game, the situation is still not optimistic. We look forward to their speedy recovery and return to action."
