As the night wore on, the 17th round of the EPL was rekindled, with Everton's home match against Chelsea ending in a 0-0 draw. After the match, Everton's center of defense Tarkovsky talked about his feelings on the field in front of the camera of the match of the day.
"Looking back, we suffered a lot of difficulties last week in our away match against Arsenal, but it was this resilience in the face of adversity that earned us respect. Today, I was confident that we had a chance to break the deadlock and indeed, we did create a number of threats in the second half, but unfortunately, the luck of the goals did not favor us." Tarkowski was overcome with emotion.
He highlighted his team's defensive results: "We achieved another shutout, which is not only a source of pride for us, but also what we are trying to do - to stop the top teams from attacking. I'm extremely happy that we were able to come away with a point against a tough opponent like Chelsea. This is definitely the best proof of our defensive strength."
Talking about Chelsea's star Palmer, Tarkowski said, "There is no shortage of outstanding players in the Chelsea team, and Palmer is known for his skill and amazing speed. But today, we managed to contain his play, thanks to the coaching team's subtle tactics and the tacit cooperation among the players."
He was even more effusive in his praise of the coaching team's contribution: "Under the coach's wise guidance, we have created a series of brilliant achievements. Since he took charge, our defense has been rock solid. This is all due to the coach's careful cultivation and the hard work of the players."
Despite not being able to collect a win in this game, Tarkowski is confident about the future, "We are confident that if we maintain our current defensive form and take advantage of more opportunities on the offensive end, we are bound for better results."
