In an in-depth interview with SportsCenter, former Liverpool star Michael Owen provides a detailed analysis of the Argentine player's performance in the Premier League and shares insights on both Liverpool and Manchester City.

Owen praised Alexis McAllister, the Argentine midfielder currently playing for Liverpool, as an all-round player who is particularly good at playing in front of goal, and whose accurate passing and wide vision are impressive. Owen also believes that McAllister is even better at a top team like Liverpool and is a fan favorite.

When talking about the Argentine players he admires the most, Owen didn't hesitate to mention Maradona and Lionel Messi, while not forgetting to mention some current players such as Gancho and Enzo Fernandez. Owen revealed that Enzo would be an integral part of the team if he were to become Liverpool coach. He also recalled his fight against Mascherano, calling him a top player.

Owen has expressed his reservations about Manchester City's current poor performance. He predicts that City will struggle to reach their best form this season and may continue to suffer defeats. Although City are expected to bounce back, Owen does not see them winning the Premier League title. He also pointed out that City need to invest more in their young players to compensate for Rodney's injuries and the problems caused by ageing veterans such as De Bruyne and Kovacic.

In contrast, Owen spoke highly of the performance of Liverpool's new manager Sloter. He believes that Sloter is calm and successful, did not make too many adjustments to the team lineup, and maintained the basic stability of the team. Owen especially praised the performance of Hrafenbech, and believes that the current Liverpool game is more controlling and more focused on possession. He also believes that Liverpool is expected to compete for multiple titles this season and noted that the team needs to focus on the contracts of Salah, Van Dyke and Arnold.

Talking about the perfect player in his mind, Owen said that this player should have Crowe's right-footed shot, Giggs' left-footed precision, his own pace, Scholes' passing vision, Van Dyke's defense and Henry's shooting skills. The player should also have Salah's power, Shearer's heading, Milner's intelligence and Klinsmann's trademark celebrations.
